Collection: Chutneys, Relishes and Pickles

Chutneys, relishes and pickles, I often get asked what the difference is. Put in the simplest terms they all do the same thing. The main difference is how smooth or chunky the product is. In our case a relish tends to be really smooth.

Products like Tomato and Onion relish, Roast beetroot and tomato relish and Aussie tomato relish are really smooth in texture. An exception to this will be the caramelized onion relish because I personally like to see the onion in the product and I think it looks better on a burger or hot dog when you serve the end product.

Chutneys tend to have a bit more texture to them with small pieces of fruits and vegetables throughout. Yes you can actually see the produce that has gone into their blend.

Pickles on the other hand are the largest and chunkiest of these products. They have big chunks of the mostly vegetables that go into their creation. Products like Mustard pickles and choko pickles are pretty popular for cold meats and sandwiches.
